This is my dog Buddah. After 16 wonderful years, we had to let her go yesterday morning after a catastrophic health failure. She was born under my mom's dresser 16 years ago last Friday, and she proceeded to be smarter, prettier, sweeter, and more long-lived than any of her siblings. Her thinking my eventual husband was a good dude was the most important opinion (I never would have gotten with him if she didn't like him!), and they proceeded to excessively adore each other. She loved herding our cats, and was special friends with our youngest orange boy who loved her so much, he decided he was actually a dog himself. She was notoriously picture shy, unless of course a tennis ball was utilized. She knew dozens of individual words, was a pathing master, and never barked unless asked to. She was absolute unparalleled perfection.
Thank you for taking a moment to observe that she was the best dog ever. The void where she was is incedibly painful, and I'm currently coping by telling everyone I can about her and how wonderful she was.
